Working With Intergraphics
At Intergraphics, we have a full in-house graphic design department that works closely with each of our clients. Receiving and requesting art from our clients in mutually understood formats is extremely important for timely work flow and a best quality product.
We are Macintosh based in our art departments. Although we have a wide range of capabilities, we would recommend one of the following file and media types for best results:
Acceptable File Types
Vector Drawing Programs:
- Adobe Illustrator Version 10 or later
- Macromedia Freehand Version 9
- Corel Draw Version 10
Raster Image Editing:
- Adobe Photoshop
Acceptable Media Types
- DVD's
- CD's
- FTP
Fonts
The issue of fonts is the most frequent problem we encounter. For simplicity, it is best to supply any type as outlines (line-art). If you must supply as a font, please attach the type suitcase with the original art file. Postscript fonts are the standard for graphics.
All .dxf or other CAD file types should have their elements grouped / joined and exported to an encapsulated postscript (.eps) file format.
Raster images, such as (.bmp, .gif, .jpeg, .tif, etc.), should be saved with a minimum resolution of 100 dpi when the image is at full size. For larger file sizes, please supply at a smaller, scaled down size and we will resize on site.
Every electronic file should be accompanied by a hard copy proof (fax or mail), or at the very least in a .pdf file.
If specific colours are required, the art should call out either Pantone Matching System numbers, raw material colours (i.e. 3M stock numbers), or have colour chips supplied with art file.
